Another one from the Rhine Valley road. Going into Mainz there was a bit of an oops - the road to the hotel was closed and the diversion took us into a side road where there were some cable covers.  Tony and Sue's roadster made it over, but dislodged one of the covers so when we tried to get over we grounded as it caught on the cross member under the exhaust. We had no choice other than to gun our way over it - unfortunately taking it with us !  We did leave the way clear for David and Carole's plus four to drive over a flat bit, albeit over a live cable. We stopped to dislodge the offending article and fortunately there was no damage :)
