Hi Folks !  We are now in Romania, but we're going to have a bit of a recap before carrying on with the main mission.  Unfortunately, none of us have photos of Mainz !  It is best described as quite a large city with lots of historical bits - but they're pretty spread out and take time to get around. I particularly wanted to see it as it was a major hub of the Frankish Empire and as my maiden name is Frankish I was curious.  However, the Rhine Valley beckoned and we simply ran out of time to see the town !
