We arrived in Arad, Romania yesterday evening and put our watches forward, so we are now 2 hours ahead of UK time.  The journey was about 170 miles, taking quite a while as we are now on 'A' roads with the speed limit reduced. The roads themselves aren't too bad ( yet ) although they are a bit lumpy bumpy from subsidence. The weather was still hot, reaching 38 degrees.  The forecast says it will break on Thursday and bring showers. On entering Arad, you felt you could be in any poor city in the world, then as you reached the other side a bit of grandeur started to creep in.  None of us went sight seeing last night and we have a 6 hour drive today, so will try to get some photos along the way from the car.
