Good morning from Transylvania !  Yesterday turned out to be quite a day. We left Arad, which was just a staging post to get us closer to Transylvania really, with a 6 hour drive ahead of us. Arad was not the nicest of places and we were all eager to be on our way.  We set off with 5 cars in our group with Betty and Stewart sandwiched in between us as they have been having car problems. 1 hour in and the car cut out - half way up a hill on a single carriageway. We knew we were in a dangerous situation so managed to tow them to a park up at the side of the road opposite a car wash and truck stop.  2 of the Mogs went on, but we stayed with them till breakdown finally appeared - 4 hours of standing in the baking sun ( 40 degrees ) was not fun.  Entertainment was on hand however as we quickly realised that the truck stop was also a pick up and drop off for the 'ladies of the night' !!  To our amusement a cat fight broke out at one point with some serious punches and hair pulling going on as one girl was wrestled to the floor !  Anyway, as Betty and Stewart left we hit the road hoping to make it before dark.  It was an horrendous journey with road works everywhere causing huge clouds of dust as well as bad road surfaces, bumper to bumper traffic and heavy wagons that sat on our bumpers and overtook with no regard at all to other traffic.  We finally reached our hotel after 6 hours in one straight drive - knackered !  The other group of Mogs didn't have the best of days either.  They too hated the drive and also went in ever decreasing circles in Sibiu as their sat nav wanted to take them over a bridge that wasn't there ! They were eventually led out by a man on a push bike - photos to follow !! So here we are, finally in Transylvania, and about to go on a bit of a tour of the area with members of Draculamog. Betty and Stewart have spent the night in Arad with their car in a Ford garage. They'll update us later today.

Pleased to see that you have all arrived safely, one way or another. It is good that you are travelling together to be able to provide needed help. By the sound of the Traffic and Roads, My 'coast' was a dream, but a bit of dust and dirt is needed to make you feel that you have 'Travelled'
Have Fun and Take Care, but watch out for offers of a 'Neck Sandwich' Whoooooo!
