So, we have gone as far east as possible and started to wend our way back. We're in Bucharest tonight again and the total mileage is 2035. Tomorrow we go to Horezu, Transalpina and overnight in Sibiu. I'm not sure what is in Horezu to be honest, but we drive the Transalpina Road and the Transfagarasan Highway which, according to Top Gear, is 'the best road in the world'. Sibiu is one of the most important fortified cites in Europe.

Remembering that Top Gear programme and having seen the road on Google Earth before, you are in for a real driving treat.
Hopefully the road will be traffic free as it was for the Top Gear Team to see it at its best.
